- Woodstock Hardware does not charge you any fees to process or package your order.
- Woodstock Hardware only charges you what the shipping companies and common freight carriers charge us to deliver your order.
- Any additional charges required to deliver your order due to weight, size, or location restrictions are those of the shipping companies and common freight carriers only.
- Woodstock Hardware does not profit in any manner while processing, packaging, or delivering your order.
Our Shipping and Delivery Policy outlines fair business practices that allows us to both effectively process, package, and deliver your order, and provide you with the best customer service possible.
Shipping and Delivery procedures summary.
- For orders meeting standard shipping requirements the total shipping cost will be displayed during the checkout process. For those orders exceeding the standard weight and size requirements, or requiring special shipping, Woodstock Hardware will contact you to determine the most effective way to ship and deliver your order.
- Shipping and delivery charges are based on the weight of your order, the dimensions of the items you order, and the shipping option select during the checkout process.
- Woodstock Hardware has selected UPS to be our standard shipping company. Our default shipping method is to ship your order from our warehouses by UPS Ground. Using UPS Ground shipping you can expect your order to arrive within two to seven business days after
- Woodstock Hardware receives your order. Other shipping methods are available to meet your special shipping needs.
- Standard shipping and delivery business days are Monday through Friday. Woodstock Hardware does offer Saturday delivery where available at an additional charge. - Any additional charges required to deliver your order due to weight, size, or location restrictions are those of the shipping companies and common freight carriers only.
- Woodstock Hardware will make every effort to ensure your order is processed, shipped, and delivered as requested. Woodstock Hardware cannot be responsible for errors, omissions, or late deliveries caused by third party shippers such as the USPS, Fedex, or UPS.
- The time it takes for you to receive your order can vary as orders from Woodstock Hardware may ship from more than one warehouse. The order delivery times outlined are to metropolitan areas only. Deliveries to more rural areas may take longer. Orders shipped by common freight carriers will take longer than those stated herein.
- Woodstock Hardware may need to ship orders by common freight carrier. Common freight carriers will be used when the combined weight or size or an order exceeds that which can be shipped by UPS efficiently. In these cases Woodstock Hardware will contact you by email to arrange for the delivery of your order. Please remember orders delivered by common freight carrier deliveries require a signature and will be delivered to the residence or business threshold only.
What shipping options does Woodstock Hardware offer?
Standard Shipping
UPS Ground Option Your order is delivered to the specified shipping address 1 to 7 business days (Monday-Friday) after it has been processed.
Expedited Shipping
UPS 2nd Day Air Option Your order is delivered to the specified shipping address by the end of 2 business days (Monday-Friday) after it has been processed. Please note that orders placed during the weekend require one business day for processing and two business days for delivery.
Expedited Shipping
UPS Next Day Air Option Your order is delivered to the specified shipping address by the end of the next business day (Monday-Friday) after it has been processed. Please note that orders placed during the weekend require one business day for processing and one business day for delivery. Certain items are not eligible for express shipping. These express shipping services are available on in-stock merchandise only. A street address is required for express shipping. Express orders placed online must be received by 10:00 am EST for same day shipping.

May I choose my shipping carrier?
Your shipping options will be displayed during the checkout process. You may select how you would like your order shipped from the options displayed during the checkout process. Only those shipping options and the associated shipping companies displayed during the checkout process are available to ship your order. How is the shipping weight calculated for my order?
Woodstock Hardware calculates the shipping weight of your order by adding up the weight of each item included in your order. The total weight of your order will be calculated by rounding up any fractional weight to the next whole pound.
Are there weight and size limitations for my order?
There are no limits to the total weight, the total size, or the number of packages required to ship your order. If your order exceeds the weight or size limitations of our standard shipping methods your order may need to be shipped using a common freight carrier. The shipping limitations are as follows.
1. Packages can be up to 150 lbs.
2. Packages can be up to 165 inches in length and girth combined.
3. Packages can be up to 108 inches in length.
Packages weighting more than 70 lbs cannot be delivered to a USPS post office box.
What is an oversize shipping charge?
Orders that are considered to be oversized due to the weight or dimensions of the shipping box will be shipped either by the UPS Ground option or by a common freight carrier per the requirements of the shipping service provider. An additional UPS charge of $50, set by UPS, will be added to each oversized item due to the increase in costs by the shipping service provider for heavier or larger items. This charge is a direct UPS charge and is not in any way shared with Woodstock Hardware.
What happens when I order a heavy or bulky item?
Certain products can only be delivered by common freight carriers. For orders exceeding the standard weight and size limits your order will be processed, placed on “HOLD,” and Woodstock Hardware will contact you to discuss the shipping and delivery details surrounding your order. Please allow for additional time for Woodstock Hardware to process and schedule delivery of any orders being delivered by common freight carriers.
What happens when I order a product classified Hazardous or Dangerous?
Products listed as Hazardous Material or listed on the Dangerous Goods List must be shipped using special packaging and in some cases special shipping methods. For orders requiring special packaging or special delivery your order will be processed, placed on “HOLD,” and Woodstock Hardware will contact you to discuss the shipping and delivery details surrounding your order. Please allow additional time for Woodstock Hardware to process and schedule delivery for such orders.
Can I ship my order to a P.O. Box?
Our standard shipping options do not allow us to ship your order to a P.O. Box. Please Contact Us if you would like to find out if an order can be delivered to a P.O. Box. Please note if an order is shipped to a P.O. Box it must be delivered by the USPS and cannot weigh more than 70 lbs.
Where does Woodstock Hardware deliver to?
Woodstock Hardware ships to the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, and Hawaii. Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii require additional shipping fees set by the shipping providers. Please note that shipping times to Alaska and Hawaii are longer than outlined herein. Please Contact Us to confirm these additional fees and determine the expected delivery time of your order.
At this time Woodstock Hardware does not deliver to APO/FPO addresses, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or internationally. Please check back as Woodstock Hardware’s delivery area is continually expanding.
Do I have to sign for my delivery?
Woodstock Hardware requires that all orders delivered be signed for. This means that someone at the ship to address must sign for the order acknowledging receipt of the order before it will be delivered. A signature is also required for deliveries made by common freight carriers. Please note that thorough inspection must be made upon delivery of all orders and any damage noted on the delivery receipt.
Who do I contact if my merchandise arrives broken or damaged?
If your order is broken or damaged, refuse delivery (if possible) and Contact Us immediately. If you accept a damaged package you must save all the shipping and merchandise packaging. See Woodstock Hardware’s Return Policy for further details on returning damaged orders.
Is express shipping available on all products?
Express shipping, UPS Next Day Air is available on those products that can be air shipped in accordance with shipping service provider requirements. Products exceeding weight or size limits and products falling under the hazardous materials (hazmat) guidelines for dangerous materials cannot be express shipped.
How long does “Next Day” or “2nd Day” shipping really take?
Simply, Next Day Air deliveries arrive by end of day on the first full business day after shipment, and 2nd Day Air deliveries arrive the second full business day after shipment.
However, how long it takes for you to receive your order depends on the time of day your order is placed, the day of the week your order is placed, and the shipping option you select. Things to remember include the following.
Orders placed after 1 p.m. Eastern Time will not be shipped until the following business day. Orders placed on Friday after 1 p.m. will not be shipped until Monday. So as a rule of thumb you can expect orders shipped Next Day Air to arrive in 2-3 business days and orders shipped 2nd Day Air to arrive within 3-4 business days.
Here are two examples of how your order could be delivered. On a Thursday morning around 9:00 a.m. you place an order. If you choose the Standard Ground shipping option your order will arrive by the following Thursday. In most cases sooner. If you choose the Expedited – 2nd Day Air option your order will arrive by Monday. If you choose the Express – Next Day Air option your order will arrive the next day, Friday.
Later Thursday afternoon, after 1 p.m., you place a second order. If you choose the Standard Ground shipping option your order will arrive by Friday of the following week. Again, in many cases sooner. If you choose the Expedited – 2nd Day Air option your order will arrive by Tuesday. If you choose the Express – Next Day Air option your order will arrive on Monday.
Remember the time it takes for your order to arrive includes both the time it takes to process your order and deliver your order. When estimating the expected delivery date of your order you can not include weekend days into the time to either process or deliver your order.
